Licences and source code
Rescue Pub Files is built on open-source work. Here is what's inside and how to get its source.
The converter
The part that reads Publisher files (/engine/wasm/pubengine.wasm) is compiled to WebAssembly from:
- libmspub 0.1.5, from the LibreOffice project. Mozilla Public License 2.0. We made two small changes, published as patch files.
- librevenge 0.0.6 (core and stream parts). Mozilla Public License 2.0, or at your option the GNU Lesser General Public License 2.1 or later. We use it under the MPL 2.0.
- zlib 1.3.2. zlib licence.
- Boost 1.86 header files. Boost Software License 1.0.
- Our own glue code and a small stand-in for the parts of ICU that libmspub uses, under the MPL 2.0.
Source code. The exact upstream source of libmspub and librevenge is hosted here: libmspub-0.1.5.tar.xz and librevenge-0.0.6.tar.bz2 (the same files as dev-www.libreoffice.org/src/libmspub-0.1.5.tar.xz and dev-www.libreoffice.org/src/librevenge-0.0.6.tar.bz2). Our patches, glue code and the build script that rebuilds the WebAssembly file from those tarballs are published alongside this site: rescuepubfiles-engine-source.zip. If any link stops working, email [email protected] and we'll send the source.
